Your Facelift Options
Deep Plane Facelift
This is Dr. Janjua’s current technique. Instead of pulling only the skin, he lifts the deeper layer of fat, fascia and muscle together. That lets him restore the cheeks, smooth the jowls and redefine the jawline. He moved to the deep plane facelift from the SMAS approach he used earlier in his career, because he found it more reliable and longer lasting for his patients.
Mini Facelift
If you have early jowling and milder laxity, a mini facelift may be an option. It’s a shorter procedure with less downtime than a traditional facelift. Dr. Janjua will tell you honestly whether a mini lift can meet your goals.
Neck Lift
A neck lift targets loose neck skin, fullness under the chin and visible muscle bands. Dr. Janjua removes excess fat, tightens the neck muscle and removes extra skin. Because the incisions extend in front of the ears, it also helps reduce jowls. It’s often combined with a facelift.

What to Expect in 3 Steps

That’s the most common worry Dr. Janjua hears, and avoiding that look is the point. His goal is to restore a rested version of your own face, not to change it. At your consultation you’ll see before-and-after photos of his own patients.
How long is facelift recovery?
Plan on about 2–3 weeks before returning to work. After a neck lift, the neck can take up to eight weeks to heal completely.
